A once-in-many-lifetimes journey to the longest remaining total solar eclipse of the century in Luxor, and the 8/8 Lion's Gate at the Pyramids of Giza.

On 2 August 2027 the Sun disappears over Luxor. The world will not see a longer totality on land for another eighty-seven years. We are gathering to meet this moment on purpose, with connection, awe, remembrance, discovery, and intentionality.

Luxor, one of the oldest continuously inhabited places on Earth, was built over the ruins of Thebes, capital of Egypt during the New Kingdom. We view the eclipse from private land on the West Bank of the Nile, near the Colossi of Memnon, the Valley of the Queens, and the temple of Hatshepsut, Egypt's famous female pharaoh.
